We revealed details about a new 12-part project coming in April 2010, KILL SHAKESPEARE. The project is created and written by Conor McCreery and Anthony Del Col, with art by Andy Belanger and covers by Kagan McLeod. Details about the story can be found in the press release excerpted below:
"We see this as cross between Fables, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Northlanders," said creators Del Col and McCreery. "We're excited about the possibility of bringing these characters - perhaps the greatest ever created - to life in a way that audiences have never seen them. We've called the series Kill Shakespeare because we're going to change the way you look at these legendary heroes and villains forever."
But for much more information on the story, characters, and lots of artwork, with much more to come, check out the KILL SHAKESPEARE site itself. There, you can see a lot of character art, sketches and finished pages, in addition to signing up for updates or adding the creators' Facebook or Twitter feeds.

Sounds fun.
Can we work a joke about "the bloke with the scarf who helped me {Shakespeare} when I sprained my wrist" in? (it's a Doctor Who joke, the Doctor wrote the first draft of Hamlet because Shakespeare had sprained his wrist writing sonnets).
AH this sounds good. You're intriguing the English major in me.
