mmm...
No TF Premiere Edition V2?
Any idea when the release date is? It was due in may.

"No TF Premiere Edition V2?"

June 17. We were showing an advance copy of it at BotCon this weekend.

Ohh good :-D
I'd love to see an omnibus edition of the Spotlights, given that that line has gone into hiatus.

(there's what... 20 issues out of that series now? Ripe for Omnibus)

Everyone is too quick to believe unfounded rumors. Not even sure where this one came from, especially since there are Spots coming in June and July, plus 5-6 new movie Spotlights starting right after that.

"Not even sure where this one came from"

I think DW is referring to the comment at Botcon that the G1 related spotlights would be taking a break after Metroplex.

Cool news about the Movieverse spotlights, though!!

Are you guys saving the big announcements regarding the TF ongoing for SDCC? Denton said it would be launching in November. Like who the creative team will be and all?

Indeed, I was referring to Generation 1.4 (as I like to think of IDW's take on the series) Spotlights.

Still good news about the Movieverse.

The Spotlights have always only run when they made sense, so I don't know why taking a couple months away from them has people thinking "cancellation." But either way, they'll be back.

Also:

I don't know what you're talking about... (but yes, there will be big TF news at Comic-Con)

Chris, I'm confused then, too. Because Denton posted the following in a thread on the IDW boards regarding an ongoing monthly TF series.

Looks like the cat's out of the bag.

Yes, there will be an ongoing. It launches in November. And, no, it's not a reboot.

The creative team is in place and will be announced when the time is right.

And just to head off another Furman vs. McCarthy debate, neither will be writing the ongoing but both are still writing Transformers for IDW.

Who says we can't make everyone happy? Well, at least try..."

And this was what was printed in IDW's June solicits:

"Next month, look for All Hail Megatron: Coda, which will answer many lingering questions and set up the coming monthly Transformers series."

So that's where I'm coming from when asking about an ongoing TF series. Sorry if I'm misreading that but it seemed somewhat clear to me??

Anyway, I naturally got a bit excited about an ongoing series, as many others did. If it's not happening can you confirm that? Would give me time to adjust to the let down.

Thanks.

Ugh. Sigh. I'm relying on IDW to give me my dose of non-movie Transformers. As a big fan of IDW's TF comics, and a big hater of the TF movies, I hope the movie comics fade away as fast as possible.

Huzzah! for the rumored ongoing series.

Meh. for the Movieverse Spotlights.

I tried to get into the movieverse comics with Reign of Starscream, but it just didn't capture the feel of the movie for me.

IMO, the movie characters' looks don't seem to translate well to a comic medium (conversely, I don't think the G1 characters classic looks translate well to a real-world film. Go figure.).

I'm holding high hopes for a Spotlight: Movie Cosmos and Spotlight: Movie Arcee (although, arguably Reign of Starscream was Spotlight: Movie Arcee).
