Zombies vs Robors, on 2nd thought

The COMPLETE ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS trade paperback, featuring the stories Ash Wood and I did in the first two miniseries and in the short-lived D'AIRAIN AVENTURE series has been sold out and out of print for a while now. But that's going to change shortly--we're going back to press on it, with the above cover (not to be confused with the original oversize hardcover edition, which also had this same cover, but which was oversize and is also out of print, and only contained the first miniseries).

In other ZvR news, the first issue of the brand-new series, ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS AVENTURE, is finally in stores on February 17...

"From the head to the page"

The St. Joe News newspaper ran a piece on WE WILL BURY YOU artist Kyle Strahm, which you can read here. I first saw Kyle's work thanks to writer Dara Naraghi, who met him at a comic con in Ohio. The first issue Kyle's book, written by Brea and Zane Grant, is in stores this week. Below are some of Kyle's pages from issue 1, shown here in B&W and also with colors by Zac Atkinson.

Close Encounter of the PSP Kind

GROOM LAKE #1 and #2, both featuring audio commentary from Ben Templesmith and I, went live at the Sony PSP store today. It was a blast recording the commentary with Ben, and it's safe to say our conversation takes some interesting and unexpected turns.

I'll be recording commentary for WEEKLY WORLD NEWS this week, and doing so for LOCKE & KEY with Joe Hill and, if we can all coordinate the time across various parts of the world, Gabriel Rodriguez, too. This is a very fun feature exclusive to the PSP comics. Hopefully it's as fun to listen to as it is to record.

Locke & Teens

LOCKE & KEY and G.I. JOE: ORIGINS were selected as Great Graphic Novels for Teens by the American Library Association's Young Adult Library Services division (YALSA), which is a nice honor. We do try our best to give the youth of today some good, wholesome comics.

Cross-Spiked

Another so-far-unannounced ANGEL-related project in the works and worth showing now, ahead of any official word. This one obviously stars Spike and is being drawn by Chris Cross, with inks by Marc Deering:

TRANSFORMERS: LAST STAND OF THE WRECKERS made its debut last week, and was a first-week sell-out. Which is great to see this level of support on our third new TRANSFORMERS title. Or it's a testament to Nick Roche's fan following. Or both. Either way, it's appreciated. And it's led to this second printing, which is on its way:

Torpedo launch

Our collection of Jordi Bernet's great TORPEDO book is out now, but it seemed a good time to focus peoples' attention on it since Mike Hawthorne and his art collective are doing tributes to Bernet's work this week over at http://comictwart.blogspot.com/ (last week focused on ROCKETEER, so follow the link there to see some good Dave Stevens-inspired work as well).
