Radio Days
For the past half-year or more, I've been doing a monthly radio gig with radio host Sohaib Awan on his Fictional Frontiers radio show. They've been 10-minute spot, where we talk about comics, movies, pop culture. Well, this month -- next Sunday, July 12 -- I talked Sohaib into letting me co-host the show for the entire hour. It airs at 8 AM PST/11 AM ET on WNJC 1360AM in Philadelphia, but is simulcast on other stations and available on the 'net (and afterwards, even if you can't tune in during the show).
So this time, since we have more time, I thought it would be fun to answer questions from listeners/readers. So I'll open things up here and on Twitter (http://twitter.com/chris_ryall) for anyone to ask anything comic-related (or COMIC BOOKS 101-related). We'll see about doing actual call-ins, too, but you can also post here or there and we'll discuss as many as we can.

Answer this: Name 3 comics that should be printed over and over forever, and 3 that should have NEVER been published.
I like that one. IDW or otherwise? I should probably stick to IDW books, to keep the peace...
There's been a lot of franchise stories lately that "risked it all"--the death of Captain America, death of Batman, outing Daredevil and Spider-Man.
I'm curious whether you think that's good or bad practice as an editor-in-chief. On one hand, it boosts sales and makes for a great story--on the other hand, as we saw with Spider-Man, it sometimes backfires enormously and has to be magically retconned.
PS--The word verification is "emacon," which is an emotional female Decepticon.
Good question, Spencer. We'll definitely get into this one, too.
How about, "With IDW reprinting several underappreciated original series (Torpedo, Dick Tracy, Resistance, etc.), is there any collection you wish people would really give a try and see what they missed out the first time?"
