Doctor, Doctor

All DOCTOR WHO fans know that the current incarnation of the Doctor can't appear with past incarnations... so this cover by Nick Roche and Charlie Kirchoff, from the upcoming Tony Lee/Pia Guerra DOCTOR WHO: THE FORGOTTEN series doesn't make any sense, right? Wrong, as you'll see in August...

I'm in love....

My only gripe is that the best Doctor EVER (the second) has to share a story with that attention hog the tenth ;)

Err, the Tenth Doctor appeared with the Fifth (Peter Davison) in last year's Children In Need special, "Time Crash". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Crash

Having said that, I'll just throw in that IDW's Doctor Who comics have been great fun - so thanks! :)

Absolutely - seeing the tenth driving Bessie (the covers seem to show the item from his past that triggers further memory - the cane in the first Doctor story, the second's recorder and the third is there with Bessie).

Will be be seeing some decorative vegetables? Question Mark umbrellas?

I'M REALLY exicted about this series.

I'm talking about ALL the Doctors being in this book...

Indeed - what I believe Chris means is that we all know that the Doctors aren't SUPPOSED to be able to meet up with each other due to causality and all that - of course we've had times like 1st 2nd and 3rd in 'The Three Doctors', 1st 2nd 3rd and 5th in 'The Five Doctors' (although the 4th was taken elsewhere), the 6th and 2nd in 'The Two Doctors' and of course 10th and 5th in 'Time Crash'.

(And of course the various books and audios etc)

But who knows what's happened since the Time War? 'Time Crash' was a simple accident - what happens when old 10th here actually has to seek out his 'past incarnations'?...

And trust me. There are several things 'Doctor and Doctor' that have NEVER been done before...

LOVE the fact he's "blue suit Doctor", I prefer the blue to the brown (blue seems more 'eccentric' then brown, brown is so common).

(the Transformers Mosaic I wrote also has him in the blue suit).

I LOVE the idea as it's been leaked to the readers - the Museum of the Doctor and him missing his other selves.

How cool would it be if there's a visitor register to hte museum and the names of all 10 Doctor actors are amongst them (even COOLER if there are some fan names like Tony Lee and Chris Ryall and Daniel Worsley there as well).

Why do we have to wait until August?
Surely that's cruel and unusual punishment and banned under the Geneva Convention ;-)

I agree, I like the more unusual variation to his suit. Actually my favorite is the brown suit with Navy blue shirt... or blue suit with the purple shirt. And I would love to be able to color the Doctor wearing the variation similar to what he wore in "Tooth and Claw" but thats more difficult because the artist would have to draw him without a tie so I can't just do it.

I've enjoyed the series so far and am definitely looking forward to reading this. Its just a shame that I have to go to such tortuous lengths to stock the Doctor Who line at my shop in Cardiff. The very city where Doctor Who is made.
