Cybertron Coll-ing
It's been a while since I've shown any new TRANSFORMERS art here, so how about two for today? Artist Casey Coller and colorist Joana LaFuente's variant covers for ALL HAIL MEGATRON #5 and 6. Just who is that on the cover of issue 6, anyway...? That issue could well become our "HULK 180," if that reference makes sense to anyone.

wow!! incredible art!! and Kups back!! drift looks incredible. I'm glad he actually looks different rather than another bot with a new paint job. Hmm.. i bet that's Kup on that other cover that Jazz is looking at. Having Springer back bodes well for the bot cause. Hot Rod too

Looks like Autobot Gundam
anonymous - that's a brand spanking new Autobot called Drift.
He's been created by Hasbro (so unlike say Alpha Trion (invented for the cartoons, or Straxus, invented for the comics) he's as "official" as they come).
Drift was created by the writer, who Hasbro then said they would make a figure out of him...

I agree, great art! I haven't seen much interior art from Casey yet (when is Spotlight Blurr coming out again?) but he might be the new "Don" for IDW judging from these covers...
And I believe both Blurr and Wolver- er... I mean, Drift were designed by Guido Guidi. Based on descriptions by the writer.
So far I'm still not sure what to think of All Hail Megatron. The art is great, but it reads way too quick for a $ 3.99 comic.
But if it re-introduces Kup and starts explaining what happened with the Autobots, it's certainly a step in the right direction.
I see that Springer is on Cybertron so I take it that the Wreckers are also on Cybertron with the rest of the Autobots.
That all said, Casey Coller's covers look the business.

Drift is Shane's creation, and when Guido did the designs and made lots of tweaks based on Shane's notes. But the idea is all Shane, no one else.
