Showing our Johnson

G.I. JOE #0 finally hit shops today, and since we're now settling in for a 3-month wait until the series kick off in monthly earnest, let's keep the JOE-ness going with this look at issue 2's cover by Dave Johnson (he of 100 BULLETS and so many other great covers):

Nice cover!

And don't think the title of this entry doesn't warrant a facepalm.

What Doctor Who comics will be following The Forgotten #6? Or will the DW Classics be the only game in town?

Thanks! Great work from Tony Lee & Pia Guerra, by the way!

Hey Mr. Ryall,

I know that this week is big because of the debut of GI JOE with IDW and I wanted to say congrats on that. But I also wanted to say it has been just over 3 years ago (Oct 19th, 2005) that Transformers debuted with IDW. A huge congratulations on the 3 year anniversary and now officially being the second longest publisher of TF comics. Here's to many more years!!

I'll be giving Joe comics a try for the first time ever, so I'm excited to see what is in store.

I know you've said a TF/Joe cross-over would be a long way off because you want to establish the line first. Is there any chance that instead of a crossover which has been done so many times in the past, that TF's and Joe might share the same universe which might increase interest across both fan bases?

Thanks,
Ron

Is there an award for best blog title of the year?

Ehh, I'd prefer to keep things separate, especially since both worlds will be pretty beaten up in different ways before we're through.
