IDW's new releases for May 29

Well, apologies in advance, East Coast shops. It seems Diamond had a problem with the shipment of our books to their East Coast distribution center, so there’s a good chance that if your shop is East Coast-based, you won’t see these books until the following week. But everyone else will be able to find these IDW titles in stores on May 29 (Thursday this week, not the usual Wednesday):

THE COMPLEAT JOHN BYRNE’S NEXT MEN, VOL. 1
THE MUMMY MOVIE PREQUEL: RISE & FALL OF XANGOS AX #2
SPEED RACER TPB, VOL. 5
MY DAD HC
GENE SIMMONS ZIPPER #6
STAR TREK YEAR FOUR ENTERPRISE EXPERIMENT #2
ROGUE ANGEL: TELLER OF TALES #4
STAR TREK TNG: INTELLIGENCE GATHERING #5

I just want to point out that just typed out, the title "Gene Simmons' Zipper" is awesome and somewhat (somewhat???) suggestive.

That doesn't effect things like Amazon.com does it? I would assume places like Amazon doesn't go through Diamond but I don't really know.

I do hope that Diamond international shipping has nothing to do with their East Coast distribuation center.

Diamond does distribute to Amazon too, but this will only affect East Coast comic shops. They won't be able to peer inside Gene Simmons' Zipper for another week.

Damn, I know I, for one, have been dying to do that.

No Beast Wars Sourcebook :(

Ahh well, for the best I suppose seeing as I'm skint.

Hey Daniel,

BW Sourcebook will be on 11Jun08 according to a post on newsarama a few days back. I posted the changes on KJ's 'May shipping thread' a few days ago.

We got an advance of the BW Sourcebook last week, too. So many problems corrected... it all came out really nice, and the illustrated glossary in the back hopefully helps make it all worth a look.

Fantastic!
Rather looking forward to the BW:Sourcebook. I liked the individual issues (silly mistakes not withstanding).
Can't wait for the trade.

Well, amazon did just send me an email and told me that the shipping date for my order of THE COMPLEAT JOHN BYRNE’S NEXT MEN, VOL. 1 was changed from today to Monday.

Are you sure? Keep in mind that new books won't be in stores until Thursday this week due to the holiday.

I get all of my comics online at a store in Illinois (chicago) and they usually have my pull box updated the day prior to 'release day.' So this afternoon my pullbox was only updated with Star Wars and Dragonlance titles, no IDW for this week that I was signed up to get (Star Trek and Mummy prequel). Now I recently discovered an awesome shop about an hour away from me in Omaha, NE. I checked their website and they don't have the Trek issues or the mummy issues either listed as coming out this week. So that was the info on which my statement was based. But if that's different somewhere else, cool. :)

International distribution wasn't affected and my copies of the Star Trek issues are already waiting for me at my local shop in Tel-Aviv :)

OK, now Amazon says that the Compleat Next Men won't ship till July, so maybe their problem wasn't related to Diamond's problem. Or Amazon is just trying to cover their asses.
