That is beautiful!
Is that supposed to be Fred, on that last page? Because it does not look much like her.

Let's run that image side by side with your own drawing of Fred and let the fans decide.
Any chance Messina will show up as an artist down the line on the current Angel (AtF, Aftermath, what's next?) series? His work on the earlier Angel books was pretty good, but the dude's at like an elevated status now. His art in Spike's "First Night" tale was amazing, and this preview even shows improvement from that. That fourth page with Fred and Knox is crazy good.

Because I'm sure Anonymous is a professional artist. =p
Regardless of how much comic!fred looks like Fred, can we at least agree that Anonymous has a right to express hers/his opinion, even if she/he isn't a professional artist, without being ridiculed? Let's promote democracy, people, not dictatorship.

I welcome all opinions from people who don't post completely anonymously, sure.
Alright, here's my side by side comparison.

I was wondering the same.
Angel - The Curse was amazing.
Now he seems even better.
Really, really awesome colors!

Hah, I may not agree with you, but well-played, my anonymous friend.
Faces like Fred--and even to some degree Angel--can be somewhat tough because while attractive, they don't really have any distinctive features to use to easily identify them. Not in the same way Spike has the hair and the cheekbones or Lorne has, you know, the green skin and horns. But I think Messina does an amazing job both here and on the STAR TREK book.
As to the question of whether he'll do more Angel, that's definitely the plan when he finishes the STAR TREK book, yeah.
Thank you all for the compliments!
I'm really flatterde!
...but I want share the compliments wth Elena Casagrande which is at work with me on this book!
D.
I love reading Angel's book with David's art coz i think his likness with characters is pretty PERFECT!I cant wait to read more Angel stuff by him!!!!!!!Cheers!
Angie. ^_^
I love your comic book take on "Smile Time". There is something comforting about the fact that "Angel" is still on TNT and there are other fans who still love it as much as I still do. Smile time is on RIGHT NOW 1-22-2010:-) Smile:-)
