IDW's new releases for August 20

I suppose the fact that I'm posting this list of books coming out this Wednesday--

DOCTOR WHO: THE FORGOTTEN #1
DOCTOR WHO: AGENT PROVOCATEUR TPB
TRANSFORMERS: ALL HAIL MEGATRON #2
TRANSFORMERS SPOTLIGHT: DOUBLE DEALER
SCORCHY SMITH AND THE ART OF NOEL SICKLES HC

--means the vacation is over. Which is maybe not such a bad thing, since poor planning while driving to a lake one state over leads to desperate fuel stops at stations who can get away with charging people like me these kinds of prices...

Ahh, I went car free, which means I can afford more comics. Genius!

I'm very much looking forward to Tony Lee and Pia Guerra on Dr. Who. I haven't even been watching the new Who series, but that is too good a team to miss!

HANG ABOUT... is that $500 for petrol?
How much petrol does $500 buy?

GOOD LORD, and I thought $1.49 a litre was a bit much...

Welcome back to the grind.

Well corrently with the exchange rate going, we pay just under $10 a gallon in the UK....

But then we're a tiny island and don't need that much to get from one end to the other...

AND.... we have a SOLD-OUT trade.

My lCS has sold ALL of their copies of Doctor Who: Agent Provacateur.

90% of them went to pre-orders.
The rest walked off the shelves BY lunchtime.

That's amazing IMO.

Comics etc... (my LCS) will be ordering more trades, but they were amazed at how quickly they moved (the monthlies were a little sluggish - it seems that Brisbane DW fans decided on the trade over the monthlies).

Wow, where was that?!?

Hope you had a great vacation regardless.

It was in the middle of Nowhere, California (outside Barstow, on the way to the Arizona/Nevada border). Nothing else in sight for miles. We were all too happy to pay $6/gallon there if it meant getting out of there.
