I like superhero books just fine, don't get me wrong, but I do also like when the industry gets noticed for books that reach beyond what everyone knows.

Whatever the genre EVERYBODY'S DEAD gets lumped into, though, it's just a damned entertaining comic. It's as much a humor comic and a college-life comic as it is anything... but with zombies, too.Chris Ryallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08993328521515328509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3796540515860610284.post-44909324173885241772008-03-15T17:40:00.000-07:002008-03-15T17:40:00.000-07:00Undoubtedly the art is fantastic, as you've alread...Undoubtedly the art is fantastic, as you've already showcased. And, obviously, I can't comment on the writing yet as, well, it hasn't been released for me to read yet.

Superhero comics, of course, are the mainstay of the industry and have been for...er, how long has it been since Action Comics #1 changed things up? And I can certainly understand the "hate" for some of it, especially the sheer numbers at times.

And I guess my hate comes more from certain comic shop owners loving zombies to the point of shoving poorly written zombie comics at me whenever theyre released (and, frankly, I thought the Marvel Zombies stuff was poorly written. But I guess that could also just be me thinking superhero zombies don't make much sense as "good guys"...I digress).

I think it also has something to do with a lot of zombie movies in recent years too (the past 5 years I've seen/heard of more zombie flcks tha the past 15 combined).

No offense intended, just asking a question.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3796540515860610284.post-30996521800959791932008-03-15T08:28:00.000-07:002008-03-15T08:28:00.000-07:00>I really don't understand the overwhelming, inces...>I really don't understand the overwhelming, incessant Zombie love festering in the comic industry these days...what's up with that?

I think I could turn around and say the same about superhero comics--it seems there's a bit more love for those than any other comic book subgenre. A handful of zombie comics doesn't necessarily equate to "festering love," but I think that a number of them have been well-told, which has increased the appetite for more. But in this comic's case, it's my festering love for Brian Lynch and Dave Crosland that has me excited for people to see it, never mind the subject matter.Chris Ryallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08993328521515328509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3796540515860610284.post-11164057831424351902008-03-14T17:05:00.000-07:002008-03-14T17:05:00.000-07:00Ah, I see you fail to ACTUALLY reply to my questio...Ah, I see you fail to ACTUALLY reply to my question and, instead, attack me.
